Who can play

  • Doubles: entered by a team captain with exactly two active players.
  • Open to all levels.

Challenges

  • Challenge any team up to 3 places above you. One open match per pair at a time.
  • Accept or decline within 3 days. No answer by then is a forfeit win for the challenger.
  • You can decline 2 challenges in any 30 days. Past that, a decline counts as a forfeit loss.

Playing and reporting

  • Once accepted, play and report the score within 10 days. Best of 1 or 3, games to 11, 15 or 21, win by 2.
  • Miss that and both sides are told; with no score 48 hours later, the match is cancelled with no result.
  • We remind you a day before each deadline (sooner for short ones), in the app, by push and by email, per your notification settings.

Confirming scores

  • Either side reports the score; the other side confirms or disputes it.
  • No answer within 2 days and the reported score is confirmed automatically.
  • A disputed score goes to our staff, who void it or send it back to be reported again.

No-shows and forfeits

  • If your opponent doesn't show, report it from My matches. They have 48 hours to contest it (staff then review); otherwise it's recorded as a forfeit win for you.
  • A forfeit moves the standings like a narrow win and counts in the win–loss record.
  • Forfeits never count toward the Vara Performance Rating and never go to DUPR.

Inactivity

  • A team with no finished match in 4 weeks drops 2 places, and again after each further 4 weeks without a match.
  • An open challenge or match counts as activity.

Ratings and DUPR

  • Standings sort by this ladder's own rating: upsets and big margins move it more.
  • Confirmed played matches also count toward your site-wide Vara Performance Rating.
  • Results aren't sent to DUPR from this site right now.
